President
Mary Nunnenkamp, MA
Retired, Washington County Sheriff's Office

Mary began her career in public safety in 1976. She met Randy while working at the Washington County Sheriff's Office in Oregon. They soon discovered their mutual passion for working with and helping children. Together they developed workshops to educate adults on the safety risks facing children, with an emphasis on protecting children from sexual and physical abuse. They presented this material at local, state, and national conferences.

Mary, holds a BA in Business and a MA in Counseling, both from George Fox University, Oregon. Mary is the chair of the Washington County Public Safety Coordinating Council.

Mary founded the RLN Scholarship Foundation to honor the life of her husband who was killed in an off-duty motorcycle crash in 2006 when an oncoming vehicle drove into his lane. Randy had a strong affinity for helping Washington County's Foster Children and the Foundation strives to carry on his work.

Mary can be reached at mary@rlnfoundation.org

Secretary/Public Information Officer
Brett Olson
Brett is a graduate from the School of Journalism and Communications at the University of Oregon.

Brett credits his desire to help those less fortunate than he from the example set by his family. Most inspiring has been the example set by Randy who became Brett’s step dad at the age of 5. It is Randy and his mother Mary who provided him the love and support needed to launch his own dream of being a writer. And now he has the chance to use those skills in service to the Foundation, providing a way to both honor his parents while helping to encourage others to pursue their life goals.

Treasurer
Barbara Andersen
Project Manager, IT - The Boeing Company

Barbara is currently an Information Technology Project Manager for the Boeing Company.  Her career has allowed her to work with governmental agencies and understand the challenges of providing community based services. Barbara chose to be a part of the Foundation due to its focus on generating community-based support for foster care recipients. This commitment is evidenced in the dedication of the board and other community members who donate their time and money to assist foster care recipients in making the transition into adulthood.

Barbara is familiar with the Foster Care system because her sister was placed with a Foster family and like so many others, was not allowed the same opportunities as her peers.  Although this was many years ago, the system has not changed in that once a youth turns 18, the support of the State ceases.  It is Barbara's hope that with organizations like the RLN Scholarship Foundation, foster youth will have opportunities that will enhance their lives.

Webmaster
Brenda Renning
I.T. Software Specialist, Beaverton School District

Brenda is a champion of underdogs, and has supported many charities with her time, money, and even blood!  The Portland Rescue Mission, World Vision, The American Red Cross, UNICEF, Beaverton Christian Church, and the Beaverton Education Support Team (who awards scholarships to a deserving senior every year), are among those she helps on an on-going basis.  She opened her home to her nephew for a year when his family was in dire straits.  By learning about her neighbor, Mary, she has found a new place to share her talents and give of herself to this most worthy cause, the Randy Lee Nunnenkamp Scholarship Foundation.
